After recently getting a divorce, Akane considers quitting the RPG with her ex. But while on a virtual adventure, he meets Yamada, who is actually an iconic character who is completely dedicated to the game. Overwhelmed with powerful emotions, Akane questions whether Yamada's devotion will continue to draw attention to the game. Akane's boyfriend, Takuma, dumps her because of a girl named Eri he met in an online game they both played, Forest of Savior (FOS). After entering the FOS, Akane ends up playing Yamada, an online guildmate who is known for being cool and anti-social. She’s looking at real-world event invitations to FOS athletes. Thinking Takuma and Eri will show up, Akane does a makeover that Takuma regrets throwing her off, but in the event that happens she wanders off trying to target Takuma, a nice guy that is he helps Yamada because of his cool personality. Takuma is a big fan of Yamada so Akane bribes him with a super rare toy to pretend to be her new boyfriend. Takuma is jealous but attracted to Eri, leaving Akane unhappy and unhappy. Akane talks to a reluctant Yamada, and finds out he’s a famous pro-gamer who gets sponsored to play in official tournaments. He doesn’t want companionship either. When Yamada goes to buy a band-aid for a sprained ankle, Akane misinterprets his departure as leaving her alone. She cries and gets drunk to ease the pain of rejection. The next morning, Akane wakes up in Yamada's room, hungry, and Yamada plays nearby...
